Tour description
Crossing the Arctic Circle in Grimsey island is a special thing to cross of anyone´s bucket list. This flight departs from Akyreyri and you will land in Grimsey about 30 minutes later. Staying approximately an hour on the island, exploring the wildlife, tasting the local cuisine and crossing the Arctic Cirlce by foot. Grimsey offers extraordinary birdlife and you will see the Puffin in it´s natural habitant on the island. Grimsey is one of Iceland´s last remaining true fishing village as the inhabitants, with only a 100 people living there through out the year.
Departure times on this tour are flexible and due to the geographical location of the island, being at the Arctic Circle, the weather situation can change fast. For safety reasons we require good conditions all the way.
